My time at G W art studio has helped me improve both my technical skills and my ability to use art to communicate. I am confident that the patience, big picture thinking, and self confidence that I have gained here will carry me far, not only in my future artistic endeavors, but in anything I pursue. I am very greatful to both my teacher for pushing me to my limits and am excited to continue painting in college!

I have been part of GW Fine Art Studio for over nine years, beginning at the age of eight under the guidance of Teacher Wang and Teacher Guo. In my early years, they gave me the freedom to draw whatever inspired me — cars speeding along roads and airplanes soaring through the sky. That encouragement sparked a passion that continues to shape who I am today. For the past five years, I have devoted myself to formal sketching and oil painting, developing both technical skills and artistic discipline. These experiences have become the foundation I carry with me as I pursue a future in automotive and aerospace design and engineering — the very worlds I once imagined in my childhood drawings. Teacher Wang and Teacher Guo did more than teach me art; they helped me discover my direction in life.

我在 GW Fine Art Studio 学习已有九年多。从八岁起，我便在王老师和郭老师的指导下开始了艺术之旅。在学习的早期，老师们给了我充分的自由，让我随心所欲地描绘自己喜欢的事物——在道路上飞驰的汽车、翱翔天际的飞机。正是这份鼓励，点燃了我心中对设计与工程的热爱，并持续塑造着今天的我。在过去五年里，我专注于素描和油画的系统学习，逐步培养起扎实的技巧与严谨的艺术素养。这些经历成为我追求汽车与航空设计及工程事业的基石——正是儿时画作中所描绘的那个世界。王老师和郭老师不仅教会了我绘画，更帮助我找到了人生的方向。

I started at GW Art five years ago, and I'm very grateful for the time I've spent here. I've learned a lot from 郭老师 and 王老师, including observation and comparison, composition, and how to use visual language. Painting here also introduced me to different styles and movements, and it all helped me find ways to express my ideas through art. I hope to continue improving.

五年前我开始在GW Art学画，非常怀念在这里度过的时光！从郭老师和王老师那里，我学到了观察比较的技巧，构图的方法，和视觉语言的运用。在这里我更接触到多元的艺术风格，并学会了如何把自己的构思表达出来。我希望今后能继续在艺术方面有所进步。

Entering Ringling College of Art and Design (Motion Design) Fall' 2026 林林艺术与设计学院(动态设计)

At GW Fine Arts Studio, I learned fundamentals, observational skills, and the importance of dedication. I have learned to persevere and be patient when learning new techniques. Ms. Wang and Mr. Guo push my art, in both foundational and creative techniques. I studied the importance of anatomy and lighting whilst creating fantastical paintings. I learned that rendering a bicep is transmutable to the believability of a creative oil painting. GW has helped me greatly in building my artistic foundation, and I am deeply grateful for Ms. Wang and Mr. Guo's teaching.

I joined GW in 7th grade, and initially, I was so intimidated by the prospect of tackling harder and more complicated drawings; the intricate details always felt a bit daunting. But over time, with the support and patient guidance of Mr. Guo and Ms. Wang, I was able to slowly overcome that fear. They helped me build my confidence step by step until drawing began to feel completely natural. Beyond the art itself, I have truly loved the warm, encouraging atmosphere of the studio, as well as the wonderful conversations shared with Mr. Guo and Ms. Wang. I will carry the lessons, the technical skills, and the patience I have learned here into the future, applying them to whatever life brings my way. Without my teachers, it would have been impossible for me to get to where I am now, both as an artist and as a person, and I am deeply grateful for this entire experience!

Over the past couple of years, I have been seriously developing my skills in sketching, drawing, and painting at the GW Art Studio. Mr. Guo and Ms. Wang have been incredibly kind and supportive, generously sharing their knowledge and techniques with me, especially in helping me build my art portfolio during the college application process. Additionally, I love the creative environment of the art studio, surrounded by all these talented people who are quietly immersed into the work. Thanks to Mr. Guo and Ms. Wang's guidance, my art techniques and creative imagination have grown tremendously, and I am deeply grateful for everything they have done for me.

Looking back at my 4 years at the studio, I realize how much I have grown under the guidance of Mr. Guo and Ms. Wang. Through the countless hours of looking at the sculptures, they taught me how to observe them in a different perspective. I will carry my learnings from the studio to college and beyond. I will miss coming to the studio every week.

I've always loved drawing and painting. My time at GW Fine Art Studio has not only taught me the skills to paint still life pieces, but also helped me gain a new perspective on viewing the world. Through learning about specific lights, shadows, and hues, I see objects in real life differently. Furthermore, through crafting creative pieces, I've learned to compose my own original pieces utilizing my stories and inspiration. Looking back at these four years, it's been an incredible time that will stay with me as I move forward. Thank you 郭老师 and 王老师 for all your guidance and support.
